Determining the Phosphorus Release of GraINzyme Phytase in Nursery Pigs

چکیده

A total of 360 pigs (200 × 400, DNA; initially 21.9 ± 0.42 lb) were used in a 21-d growth trial to determine the available P (aP) release curve for GraINzyme Phytase (Agrivida Inc., Woburn, MA). Pigs weaned at approximately 21 d age, randomly allotted pens based on initial BW and fed common starter diets. From 18 post-weaning, all diet containing 0.11% aP. On considered 0 study, blocked by 1 8 dietary treatments with 5 per pen 9 treatment. Dietary formulated include increasing aP derived from either an inorganic source (0.11, 0.19, or 0.27% monocalcium P) levels phytase (150, 250, 500, 1,000, 1,500 FTU/kg). Diets corn-soybean meal-based contained 1.24% standardized ileal digestible (SID) Lys. trial, pig (weighing closest mean BW) was humanely euthanized right fibula collected bone ash using non-defatted processing method. Overall (d 21), had improved (linear, < 0.002) ADG, ADFI, F/G. Bone weight percentage increased 0.001) added phytase. Based these results, equations developed G:F, weight, are: = (0.255 FTU) ÷ (1299.969 + FTU); (0.233 (1236.428 (45999.949 (462529200 (0.272 (2576.581 FTU), respectively.

Efficacy of different commercial phytase enzymes and development of an available phosphorus release curve for Escherichia coli-derived phytases in nursery pigs.

In 2 experiments, a total of 184 pigs (PIC, initial BW of 10.3 and 9.7 kg for Exp. 1 and 2, respectively) were used to develop an available P (aP) release curve for commercially available Escherichia coli-derived phytases. In both experiments, pigs were fed a corn-soybean meal basal diet (0.06% aP) and 2 diets with added inorganic P (iP) from monocalcium phosphate (Exp. 1: 0.075 and 0.15% aP; E...

Growth Performance, Phosphorus Balance, and Bioavailability of Phosphorus in Pigs Fed High Available Phosphorus Corn and Phytase

Phytase has been shown to consistently improve the bioavailability of phytate phosphorus for pigs. However, only about 60 to 70% of the phytate P in a corn-soy diet is made available when supplemented with an optimal phytase dose. The use of high available P (HAP) should provide an additional strategy for improving the bioavailability of phytate P in pigs. In experiments 1 and 2, growth perform...

A new phytase expressed in yeast effectively improves the bioavailability of phytate phosphorus to weanling pigs.

We have recently expressed a new phytase enzyme in a yeast system. Three experiments with a total of 140 weanling crossbred pigs were conducted to examine the efficacy of this enzyme in improving the bioavailability of phytate-P in corn-soybean meal diets to young pigs. Experiment 1 compared the efficacy of this new phytase with a commercially available phytase (Natuphos, BASF) for 4 wk at an i...
